Wheeler Ruml is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of New Hampshire. His research interests include heuristic search, planning, and optimization, with a particular focus on time-aware decision-making. Before joining UNH in 2007, he managed the Embedded Reasoning Area and was a member of the research staff at the Palo Alto Research Center (formerly Xerox PARC).
He received his PhD from Harvard University in 2002.
